What thickness of Quartz Stone is better for countertop

Quartz stone has a comprehensive advantage of other materials, but during the using quartz stone will also be damaged, then how to prolong the service life of quartz stone?

1.    a sharp weapon may damage the surface of the quartz stone or the quartz stone itself. Though Quartz is with high hardness in the composite materials, has a very high impact scratch ability, as long as it will not be damaged by a sharp weapon, usually quartz stone will not be worn. If there is stubborn stain on the quartz stone countertop and is particularly difficult to be cleared, can try to use a gently scraping tool to remove it, meanwhile avoiding to use high hardness tool to scratch the quartz stone countertop.

2.    the high temperature will damage to the quartz stone countertop. Although the quartz stone is excellent heat resistance, generally will not be damaged by high temperature, as any materials is thermal expansion and contraction. 3.Depending on the length and width, our quartz stone slab could be classified as 2440*760mm,

3000/3050/3200*1400/1500/1600mm. the 2440*760mm is made on the small vacuum pressed machine, so its

compactness will not good as the big ones, though the material for them are the same. Then when choosing the

quartz stone slab, it is better to choose bigger ones.

There is acrylic solid surface and acrylic modified solid surface sheet of our NEQ solid surface sheet.as you know, solid surface sheet is popularly applied for the countertop as it is various color and luxury appearance, but do you know how we produce the beautiful materials?

The difference of acrylic solid surface sheet and acrylic modified solid surface sheet is the resin. The resin for acrylic solid surface sheet pure acrylic resin, but the resin for the acrylic modified one is the unpolyster resin and MMA. When we produce solid surface sheet, first, we will prepare the resin, ATH, chips, pigment, auxiliary agent such as antifoaming agents, ultraviolet absorbent and so on, which will make the solid surface material good performance. All the raw material should be at regular content rate. Second, all the raw material will be putted into a stirred tank and will be mixed completely. Then the mixed raw material will be auto casted to the production lines. There will be protect film on the production line to protect the material not to stick on the production line and to make the solid surface sheet’s surface smooth. Then the material will solid slowly as it will release heat for the raw material react on the production line. When the raw material arrives the end of the production line, it will solid completely and become solid surface slabs and the solid surface slab will be cut into request size. After the first step of production, solid surface sheet will be sent to sanding after left from production line for a whole day. Then will be repaired if there is some tiny impurity or hole on the surface. After one days later, the solid surface sheet will be polished. Then the solid surface sheet will be packaged and sent to the warehouse.

Tips for Installing Solid Surface Countertops

I. In order to ensure the installation quality of the solid surface countertop, you need to pay attention to the several points before installation.

1. When doing graphic design, should pay attention to the physical properties of solid surface material, avoid cracking due to thermal expansion and contraction or stress concentration, must give full consideration to select the joints of feeder position, to avoid connection at the corner or mouth bit, such as shown in Figure 1-1:

2. When designing the corner of solid surface contertop, should give full consideration to the stress concentration may cause cracking at the corner solid surface countertop, so when do fabrication, should keep all the radius of corner is more than 25mm arc angle, such as shown in Figure 2-1:

3. When do design of the stove hole, its location should be away from the edge of the solid surface countertop more than 80 mm, preventing cracking of the stove hole. First, cutting with cutting machine or curve sawing first to make hole, then grinding trimming by hand mill or gong machine, to make the trimming smooth, four corners of the circular arc radius uniform. As the hole edge cutting by curve sawing or cutting machine, there will be serrated seal or even residual crack, it is easy to cause cracking. As shown in Figure 3-1:

4. The hole angle radius of the stove hole should be more than 25mm. must use homogeneous plate to reinforce the angles of the four sides "as shown in the figure", there should be certain space between shaft and the solid surface countertop and the spatial distance should be 4mm-6mm. also there should be insulation cloth and tin foil insulation around the hole to protect the solid surface countertop. As shown in Figure 4-1:

5. When design the solid surface countertop, should consider the stairs, elevators, doors and other transport channels which will limit the size of the solid surface countertop. The site joint should meet the requirements of the joint seam.

6. The gap between solid surface countertop and wall, cabinet (As shown in Figure 6-1), which can effectively guarantee the solid surface countertop will not crack expansion and contraction.

7.When designing the solid surface countertop support or support plate, should make sure the maximum distance is not more than 600 mm, to reduce the deformation or fracture of solid surface countertop.

II.Installation of solid surface countertop

（1）Should select the specified color glue according to the different varieties of solid surface sheet, do not abuse solid surface adhesive.

Bathroom Pedestal Sink Installation Instructions

1. Laying the sink on the column, moving it to make it contacting with the column anastomosis, and then moving the whole pedestal sink carefully to the appropriate the installation location.

2. Putting the level instrument on the sink, to correct the whole sink’s horizontal, if necessary, could moving the whole pedestal sink in horizontal direction..

3. Checking the water outlet of the basin whether it is corresponding to the water outlet of the wall, if necessary, could move the whole bathroom pedestal sink. Note: after moving the whole pedestal sink, the horizontal of the whole pedestal sink should be corrected once again.

4. Marking the installation hole position of the sink and the column on the wall and the ground.

5. Removing the sink and the column away carefully.

6. Marking holes in the wall and floor with the screw sizes. Note: the diameter and depth of the hole should be enough to install the screw.

7. Plugging the expansion particles, to fixing the screw rod on the walls and the ground. Screw on the ground should expose about 25mm. The screw on the wall should expose about 34mm. (PLS002 screw or 45mm PLS003 screw).
